LA PLÂTRIÈRE – Welcome!

Linda and Pascal invite you to discover Le Puy en Velay, its culture and its people, its region, its history and its magnificent nature.
Clinging to Corneille Rock, just below the cathedral, La Plâtrière will be your home away from home for a stay that we hope will be relaxing and rich in cultural and sporting adventures. Our building is a former school for autistic, deaf and dumb children, and we have renovated the classrooms and dormitory on the first floor.
The historic name of ‘La Plâtrière’ refers to the square of the same name, just a stone’s throw from our home, which was built on the site of an old lime quarry from which Oligocene gypsum was extracted for building or for bleaching earth.
You’ll enjoy the silence of the upper town, the sunshine and the breathtaking views over the surrounding hills, while remaining just a stone’s throw from the many attractions that Le Puy has to offer.

LIVING
We can accommodate up to six people.
A large living room, facing south-south-west, is cool and fresh in the mornings and offers a breathtaking view of the magnificent skies and sunsets in the evenings.
A recreation room with games and television (NETFLIX, children’s programmes, Molotov, French and international channels) can also be used as an office. You can work or relax as you wish, alone or with your family!
The accommodation is non-smoking. Excellent fibre-optic WIFI is available throughout the flat.
BEDROOMS
You’ll always sleep cool with us. At an altitude of over 650 metres, the air gets fresher in the early evening.
The HEMINGWAY master bedroom has its own Italian shower, double washbasin and dressing room. It opens onto the terrace. Ideal for getting away from it all.
The ROCHER CORNEILLE bedroom is home to another couple. With a dressing room, it also opens onto the terrace and will be an invitation to rest and cool off. Its double bed can be separated into two 90 cm beds, perfect for older children. The sofa in the recreation room provides additional double sleeping space, and your baby will also have a bed just for him, which we will install for you in the bedroom of your choice!
COOKING
A fully equipped kitchen and storeroom will give you the opportunity to prepare your favourite dishes and enjoy them facing the sky. The chef and his helpers will find here dishes, saucepans, cookers, food processors – everything they need to prepare their best recipes for the family or guests!

TERRACE
All the rooms open onto a large terrace, where you can enjoy the cool or the heat, as you prefer, or both. An outside lounge, protected from the wind and sun by a cane awning, is the perfect setting for aperitifs with friends or family.
Enjoy an uninterrupted view of Le Puy and its marvellous sunsets, and take advantage of the discreet lighting along the entire length of the terrace for unforgettable evenings!
FOR YOUR BEAUTY
The bathroom in the HEMINGWAY room has an Italian shower, washbasin area and large mirror. The WC is right next to the room. If you prefer the ROCHER CORNEILLE room, there is a separate bathroom with an Italian shower, double washbasin and WC.
There is a hairdryer in each bathroom, as well as coat hooks and a towel rail. Each bedroom and WC has its own windows or patio doors, as well as mechanical ventilation.
You’ll find everything you need before an evening at the theatre or restaurant, or simply to feel good after a trip to the mountains or a walk in the forest!
ACCESSES
Secure access.
A garage is available exclusively for the duration of your stay. It is large enough for a car and bicycles or motorbikes. A lift will take you up to the flat.
Pedestrian access is from a pedestrian street through a gate protected by a digital code. Once inside, you will find the keys in a key box and access the flat via a magnificent staircase.
L’accès voiture en voiture se fait par portail télécommandé jusqu’à une cour commune, où vous disposerez d’un garage fermé privatif. Un ascenseur vous mènera jusqu’à l’appartement.
L’accès piéton se fait par un portillon protégé par digicode. une fois à l’intérieur, vous trouverez les clés dans une boîte à clés. Un escalier blanc vous conduira jusqu’à l’appartement.
